Development
Game Seeds
We explored multiple ideas in the XR stage. This helped us discover what is fun and possible with the technology.
Prototyping
We prototyped the game in-engine. Then we tested it on the XR stage and debugged differences from our own devices.
Custom controller
We created motion-trackable wands for the game. They track the player’s movements in real time using the Vicon system.
Playtesting
We invited players to try the XR stage. We iterated the game based on their feedback to improve it.
Problem solving
Team collaboration
I resolved a conflict between artists to ensure fair collaboration. I set up small-group concepting and weekly check-ins to maintain communication and a positive workflow.
Workflow management
There was a problem where we only had one XR stage computer, so all pushes needed careful testing. These guidelines we created together, ensured smooth collaboration and prevented workflow bottlenecks.
Team alignment
I created a worldbuilding document to fix misalignment between artists, programmers, and design. It mapped the game’s structure and mechanics, keeping everyone on the same page.
Production tools
Scope breakdown
I created a clear scope breakdown that visualizes all epics, planned hours, and estimated manhours. It helped structure the project and keep the workload realistic.
Scrum board
I set up a Scrum board in KanbanFlow to organize tasks and track sprint progress. It provided a clear overview of what the team was working on each week.
Miro board
I designed a Miro board to centralize our planning, documentation, and visual references. It served as a collaborative space that kept everyone aligned.
Budget sheet
I created a detailed budget request outlining all technical requirements and equipment needed, ensuring our project was well-supported from the start.
Concepting board
I built a concepting board where we brainstormed a wide range of ideas and collaboratively narrowed them down into one cohesive and achievable concept.
Risk log
I maintained a comprehensive risk log that documented potential issues and tracked which risks were triggered, helping us respond effectively throughout the project.
